Abstract:
WWI relief worker; Nurse. The papers include correspondence, reports, papers, and
pamphlets relating to Clement's administration of the American Red Cross rural nursing progam in
Appalachia, circa 1912-1917, and various of accounts of her visits to impoverished communities in
that area. There is also correspondence from Clement to her family while working with the Smith
College Relief Unit in Grécourt, France, after World War I (1919).
