Audio recordings with restricted portions are closed. All original audio cassette tapes are closed; copies must be requested for research use.

All narrators retain copyright to their interviews during their lifetimes and must give written permission for the reproduction of any portion of tapes or transcriptions during their lifetimes. Permission must also be obtained from the Sophia Smith Collection as owners of the physical property.
