Biographical Note
Regina Berger Lederer was born June 29, 1895 in Vienna, Austria. She was a soprano soloist with the Vienna Opera. In 1939, after the Nazi invasion, she and her husband, Theodore Lederer, and their son left for Italy, then the United States. She resumed her singing career in New York City and later she worked for a knitting firm until she retired in 1972. |
