Transcript of an oral history interview with Ida Louise Jackson, speaking of her background, family and early education in Mississippi and Louisiana, before the family's move to California. She relates her experiences as an undergraduate at the University of California; the founding of Alpha Kappa Alpha, in 1921 - the first sorority for Black women in the western United States; and her teaching experiences in Oakland, CA [Description taken from University of California, Berkeley, Library Catalog].
