Abstract:
Relief worker, World War I. The Katharine Geddes Papers are contained in a scrapbook compiled from her service as a Red Cross relief worker in France during World War I. Included are photographs, correspondence, postcards, clippings, maps, memorabilia, reports, and lists. Many of the items are written by, or relate to, relief worker Zorah W. Bowman who served with Geddes. Correspondence and reports provide rich details of their work with wounded soldiers and prisoners of war in France and Germany. There are also letters and photographs sent from grateful soldiers (in English and French).
