Abstract:
Suffragist, feminist, temperance leader, and abolitionist. Anthony began her political career with the Women's New York State Temperance Society, and became involved in women's rights, suffrage, and the abolitionist movements. The bulk of the collection consists of material by outside parties about Anthony, including biographical material; published writings by Anthony; memorabilia; correspondence; autograph collection; and photographs.
