The Honorary Degree files, 1910-present, located in the Smith College Archives, contain press releases, newspaper clippings, photographs, and correspondence concerning the process of awarding the honorary degree at Smith, as well as biographical information on those awarded the honorary degree, and information about the particular Commencement when the degree was awarded. These files were maintained by the Office of Public Relations, as well as the Office of the Board of Trustees and transferred over a period of years.
