Ancient Studies was first introduced at Smith College as an interdepartmental major with the academic year 1970-1971.
The Ancient Studies program records contain materials describing a lecture and an exam within the department. Types of materials include a department flyer, an exam, and a professor's report on the students' performance on the exam.
