The first faculty handbook for Mount Holyoke College was published in 1904, entitled "Faculty Legislation." Frequently published since then, this modified guide outlines the governing rules and regulations at Mount Holyoke.
The records are comprised of faculty legislation guides. Information in these guides includes powers of the organizational groups at the College, curriculum and academic regulations, evaluation of student and faculty work, degrees and certificates awarded by the College, community responsibility, the Five College Cooperation policy, and faculty rights and benefits.
