The Mount Holyoke Scholar Award was founded by the Board of Admissions in 1955 to recognize outstanding incoming freshmen. The secondary schools previously attended by the recipients received a small grant for their libraries.
The records contain press releases, lists of various year's recipients, and photographs. Information on the history of the award is included, as well as photographs of some recipients.
