The following scholarships and fellowships are available to Mount Holyoke students from private organizations: Alumnae Scholar Program, Buckland Scholarship, Clara R. Ludwig Scholarship, Elisabeth Miller Bardwell Memorial Fellowship, Emily Dickenson Scholarship, Emma and Ethel Chandler Fellowship, Gallup Perptual Scholarship Fund, Harriet Newhall Tuition Award, Harry S. Truman Scholarship, Ira Skilling Stryker Fellowship, Joanne Hammerman Alter Scholarship, Lillian A. Brewer Scholarship, Louise Fitz-Randolph Fellowship, Lucy Cope Shelmire Scholarship, Marcia Armstrong Scholarship, Mary E. Wolley International Fellowship, Mary P. Dole Medical Fellowship, Mary Vance Young Scholarship, Mellon Fellowship in the Humanities, Mount Holyoke College Employees Social Committee Scholarship, Mount Holyoke Summer Research Fellowship, 1905 Fellowship, Rachel Brown Scholarship/Fellowship, Resident Fellowship, Ruth Sterling Gamsby Memorial Scholarship, Seven College Conference Scholarship, Skinner Fellowship, South Africa Scholarship Fund. Additional scholarships are awarded by corporations annually.
The Scholarship and Fellowship Records are an artificial collection of documents put together by the Archives Staff. The records include correspondence, brochures, a book of fellowship recipients (1901-1953), lists of scholarship and fellowship recipients (1943-1981), press releases (1946-1973), newspaper clippings, photographs, and files on each scholarship and fellowship available at Mount Holyoke. Information includes application requirements, recipients names and academic status, the financial need of applicants, and limited histories of the awards.
