The Trustee Review Committee was established in 1980 to study the function, composition, and committee structure of the Mount Holyoke College Board of Trustees. The committee was created after the Board of Trustees Nominating Committee recommended that a special ad hoc committee should review the specific question of trustee term length.
Trustee Review Committee records date from 1980-1981 and consist of agenda, minutes, correspondence, reports, lists, memoranda, newspaper articles, and historical information relating to the by-laws, meetings, membership of the Mount Holyoke College Board of Trustees. The records discuss issues such as proposed by-laws amendments, committee rotation of trustees, the functions of trustee committees, long-range strategic planning by the Board, and increasing the number of young alumnae trustees.
