Abstract:
The bulk of the collection consists of typescripts, galleys and proofs of five of Joseph Amiel's novels, 1979-1993. Also included are class notes taken by Amiel for history and English courses at Amherst, 1956-1959.

Biographical Note

Joseph Amiel, attorney and writer of popular fiction, was born in New York City on June 3, 1937. He attended the Fieldston School and entered Amherst College in the Class of 1959. He attended Yale Law School and earned the LLB there in 1962. He has published the following books: Hawks (1979); Birthright (1985); Deeds (1988); Star Time (1991); and A Question of Proof (1993).

The bulk of the collection consists of typescripts, galleys and proofs of five of Joseph Amiel's novels, 1979-1993. Also included are class notes taken by Amiel for history and English courses at Amherst, 1956-1959.
